During my winter break I swore I would expend some creative energy when I came back, so after a few weeks of procrastination I got my act together to make a collage out of things I collected on the trip and random shit I had lying around. I was also going for the 3D pop up look– one day I’ll make wooden box dioramas of movie scenes. Some of the things I included are (spot them!):
If I ever do another one, I’ll be sure to include way more details.
A week ago I was reading the dining section of the New York Times and an article about pudding caught my eye. As my tagline goes, I will kill for pudding. There was a recipe for maple crema that I knew I just simply had to try. It’s also unfussy and simple, and comes from Gina DePalma of Babbo, also the #6 restaurant in the city. I made it late last night and we ate it for dessert this evening. It was sweet as hell, as it is mostly maple syrup, but it was definitely yummy. I wasn’t alone in wanting to make it though, this blog has the recipe and her pictures prove that I did not make it gooey by mistake. Like her, I also recommend serving with light whipped cream.
